About this place
At Percheno, part of the fun is deciding what to add to a Margherita—or choosing your toppings from the base up. The menu includes a Margherita with tomato, mozzarella and basil (1,000 yen), as well as a Margherita base for the customisable “Consultation Pizza” (1,000 yen). Suggested toppings include bacon, prosciutto with a soft-boiled egg, and mushrooms, making it a welcome option for anyone who likes to create their own combination.
Diners describe the wood-fired pizzas as crisp on the outside and chewy within. One reviewer says even the crust was delicious. If you can’t decide, consider the “Percheno’s Three Popular Pizzas” (1,500 yen), which brings together Margherita, whitebait with green laver, and quattro formaggi on one pizza. A diner who tried it appreciated being able to sample all three flavours.
For something a little more distinctive, there is the Funghi, with smoked mozzarella, mushrooms and anchovy, and the Limone, combining mozzarella with lemon, capers, olives, Taleggio and honey. The menu also includes wood-fired lasagne and a salad of apple, Gorgonzola and almonds. Lunch sets come with a small appetiser and a soft drink, giving you the option to round out your pizza.
Wine is also available. The menu suggests pairing a red wine that goes well with tomato and seafood with a Marinara. A simple pizza topped with tomato, garlic and oregano can also make a good match for a glass of wine. Percheno serves diners in the restaurant and offers takeaway, with options for both a classic order and a pizza assembled to your taste.
